The Chair of Applied Ethics

 

Research projects of the Chair of Applied Ethics concern basically four themes:

1. the ways of formulating and justifying moral norms (generalizations in ethics, functions of rules in moral theory);
2. contemporary metaethical problems (main methaethical theories, the nature of normativity, rationality of moral discourse);
3. problems of applied ethics (bioethics, environmental ethics, business ethis, ethics of science, moral problems in psychology);
4. moral dilemmas: theirs structure and the ways of resolving.
