dziedziniec_1000At present KUL is one of the fastest growing universities in Poland. The University has a reputation for high standards of education and research, the profile of which is determined by humanistic tradition of the university as well as openness to the needs of a contemporary man.
The University has ongoing cooperation with almost 100 foreign research and academic institutions. KUL has been participating in such European programmes as ERASMUS and COMENIUS.
Due to Lublin’s geographical location and its history, KUL has strong ties both with the East and the West. The graduates and the faculty of KUL hold many important positions in social, cultural, ecclesiastical and political life. Among them is Pope John Paul II, who held the Chair of Ethics in KUL’s Faculty of Philosophy for many years.
The University offers a very wide range of Master’s and doctoral programmes in the eight faculties: Faculty of Theology; Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration; Faculty of Philosophy; Faculty of Humanities; Faculty of Social Sciences; Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences; two off-campus faculties in Stalowa Wola and Tomaszów Lubelski. Most of the academic disciplines have already gained a Certificate of the Quality of Education, i.e. the accreditation of the University Accreditation Commission and redesigned their study programmes in line with European Credit Transfer System.
